Welcome to the new website for Sandra Starr Consulting.

While we were in beta mode, I asked a few close advisors to review the site and give me feedback. The experience reminded me of some valuable lessons learned long ago.

First, carefully select the individuals that you consider 'advisors' as not everyone is eager to tell you the 'tough stuff' and an effective advisor must be willing to share it all with you.

Also, you need to be enthusiastic about the project and clear that you are relying on your advisors for feedback. I showed the beta site to a few people just because I was excited and wanted to share it with them; however, I did not expect any constructive feedback from them. Others were complimentary and it wasn't until I asked that they offered some excellent comments. These experiences reminded me that when I want feedback... I need to ask and I need to let my advisors know what I am expecting.

And, one of the best comments came from my sister... a professional in her own right, she is far removed from what I do. So, she viewed the website with fresh eyes and did offer some valuable observations. Thank you, Barbara, for this insightful remark:

“Building a successful business is much like the river rafting pictured on the website... its dangerous, exciting and risky. Sandra Starr Consulting partners with individuals that want to survive these turbulent times and, most significantly, excel at navigating the path to success.”

As you chart your next steps... consider relying on advisors for support, value the feedback they offer, and contemplate integrating their ideas into your plan. A new perspective may bring stimulating and profitable results.
